This year marks the 70th anniversary of the renowned couture house Dior. It was founded in 1947 and since then, it has been under the creative influence of seven designers.

To mark the anniversary, Dior is paying homage to its creators by launching a series of limited edition books that will be dedicated to each designer individually. Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri are the people that shaped and created what the iconic brand is today.

The first book, Dior by Christian Dior, was published in December and it follows his work from the first collection in 1947 to his final one a decade later. The clothes are being kept safely in various museums. The pictures are by photographer Laziz Hamani and the writing is by Olivier Saillard, who does an in-depth research of Dior’s style and inspiration.

The six other volumes are set to come out in 2017 and 2018, each of them celebrating the most inspirational creations of the designers.
